This three hour class explores the basic skills needed to make flat water canoeing a more pleasurable experience for the beginner or intermediate paddler. We start with basic canoe design and composition.
Safety, Safety, Safety....The do's and don'ts and many misconceptions about canoeing. We will cover all the basic strokes you'll need to know to help you make the boat go straight when you want it to go straight and turn when you want it to turn.
This class is offered to the solo or tandem paddler. Whitewater Instruction is also available by appointment as well. Whether it's the beautiful Cascade Lakes or the peaceful flat water of the Deschutes River you want to explore, this class will prepare you for it.
